TECNEX founder Moiz Ahmed has an exceptional goal for medical software technology—to see patient care and back-of-office recordkeeping streamlined and integrated into one user-friendly system.
With 12 years of experience in medical software technology, Ahmed knew how cumbersome the old systems were for physicians. "The software needed to be much easier to use. Our goal when developing a new product is always to keep it simple yet powerful—not an easy goal to achieve!" Ahmed says.
Tecnex offers comprehensive training for their software. But Ahmed says their designs are so effective, he often sees products being implemented before the training begins. "Our technology is high quality, low cost, and user friendly," he said. The ultimate goal is to allow doctors to spend more time with patients, and less time maintaining complex systems.
Ahmed and his company also recognize a responsibility to give back. "We have a community program to help reduce costs for non-profit clinics," Ahmed says. "We provide our software with heavy discounts for non-profit healthcare entities. Our goal here is to promote low-cost healthcare."
Community work is important to Ahmed; he reminisces about a day early in his career when he caught his own lucky break. Arriving in America with 19 English pounds in his pocket, Ahmed survived on menial jobs and an unpaid internship. His break came on the soccer field when a teammate got to know him, recognized his potential, and offered him a job. And he never forgets to credit his success to those, like friend and mentor Jeff Beauchamp, who have helped him along the way. That soccer game changed his life, and today Moiz Ahmed himself is a game-changer in the medical software industry.
