This could result in a U.S. import ban against all of the company’s Android products and, according to intellectual property experts, it’s difficult to see how any Android device could not infringe upon them. The patents in question are on a “system and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated data” and a “real-time signal processing system for serially transmitted data.”
HTC has since released a statement saying they are confident the ruling can be overturned and reiterated that it did not violate any of Apple’s patents. “We strongly believe we have alternate solutions in place for the issues raised by Apple. We look forward to resolving this case, so we can continue creating the most innovative mobile experiences for consumers.
