Bill Barley carries a Nikon cameras around his neck, because he
"possesses a natural instinct for photography." In 1966, he founded
Bill Barley & Associates, Inc. "I've been handling quite a bit of
corporate work," Barley said from his studio in Columbia South Carolina.
As
Chief photographer, he's responsible for a myriad of areas, working the
administrative as well as the creative aspects of the business. He
said he specializes in commercial and individual photography by
supplying full service photography, including advertisements.
Barley's
firm also gathers countless categories of photographed products for
manufacturers in order to provide customers with visual images. Barley
has worked the rough-and-tough business of newspapers. He worked with
several news outfits in his time, including New York Times, Newsweek
and UPI.
"The New York photographer -- John Durniak, the photo
editor extended his contacts and gave me leads for other free lance
work." Barley said. His photograph Journalism began in South Carolina.
"I started doing corporate photography," he said. "But now I have a
background in graphic design," he added. "I've been in this business
for long time."
