You are here: Business Small Business Getting Everyone Back to Work
The recession has spared no one, including Paul Sandhu.

Although he was laid off from his job in 2008, the setback was the inspiration for him to found HR Solutions, LLC, a business that has led to the success of many others struggling to stay afloat in the current economic situation.

Sandhu said it’s difficult for people to find the help they need, so he came up with a way to show people how to get hired for the jobs they want. He said the company’s ultimate goal is to allow clients to build a brand for themselves and to teach them how to apply the information they gather about self-marketing using tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media.

His efforts earned him an award from President Barack Obama in 2010 for his volunteer work in Arlington, Virginia. “We’re very passionate about what we do, and I think that’s a key aspect of the business that we’re in.”

Despite constant economic flux, Sandhu said he’s confident in the company’s ability to keep a steady business. This year, they are looking to expand to host online tutorials for basic resume tips.

He said the most important thing to remember is that they are leaders, so there is an expectation that people are making daily decisions based on what they are told under the guidance of HR Solutions. “We try to make it so we’re…here for them as a family. And not just now, but even tomorrow and 10 years from now,” he said.
