"We’ve developed some of the strongest materials to enable an organization to diagnose exactly where they are, and then we’ve got a very integrative package to take them from where they are to where they want to be,” explained Jerus. “And that’s unlike anything else that I’m familiar with in the market.”
Their experience has shown that communication is of utmost importance. “Organizations repeatedly cite that they have inadequate communications at all levels,” said Jerus. “But if you improve communications, productivity can go up 20 to 60 percent.”
So what are some of the biggest communication problems facing many companies today? Jerus points to age differences, noting that there are an unprecedented five generations within the workforce today. Each prefers different modes of communication, from letters to conference calls to texting. With all these different modes, ‘getting the message’ is more complicated than ever. “One major problem is the illusion that communication has actually occurred,” explained Jerus. “People believe they’ve been thoroughly understood without checking or confirming. That doesn’t work anymore!”
