Despite the popularization of farmer’s markets leading a greater trend to cut out middlemen in the produce supply chain, ATP Agri-Services maintains a position of value. The freight and logistics company, based in Wauchula, Florida, ships over 10,000 orders annually and boasts an impressive fleet of trucks: semis, refrigerated units of varying length, flat beds, vans, and trailers.

Owner Andrew Pace, a fifth generation farmer, started out transporting his own produce by pickup truck and trailer. ATP now delivers along routes serving dozens of destinations in and around 15 cities, from Miami to Southern Georgia.

In addition to transporting produce to distribution centers, processing plants, restaurants and markets, ATP has relationships with some of the most recognizable retailers in the country. Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, Publix and Target all have outlets along ATP’s established routes. Employees are familiar with these chains’ delivery procedures and ensure professional treatment of customers’ products.

ATP Logistics, the LTL distribution division of ATP, offers money-saving shipping options utilizing a warehouse in Zolfo Springs, Florida. Employees there consolidate orders for efficient distribution and pass these savings on to the customer.
