You are here: Business Small Business The Career Coach
After a diverse collection of accomplishments in the fields of accounting, staffing, executive coaching and manufacturing, Ellyn Enisman knows a lot about career success. Now, she’s passing that knowledge on to a new generation of job seekers: college students and new grads.

She attained her skills early on. “My management, operations and hiring successes are attributable to the experiences I had in my first job at Accountants-On-Call,” said Enisman. “We had one small office, but by the time I moved on we had over 100 offices, and I was driving a $25 million operation within the company.”  Today, in addition to helping new grads learn how to compete in the job market, Enisman keeps her feet in  industry as the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Tek Wire and Cable, her family’s business specializing in manufacturing wire and cable for golf course irrigation, landscape lighting and utility tracer wire.

Enisman is also the founder and principal of EKS Consultants Inc., a career coaching and consulting firm. Committed to helping young job seekers achieve their first position after college, she recently published a book: “Job Interview Skills 101: The Course You Forgot to Take.”  Topics of interest include the right things to ask employers, how to answer the toughest questions and ways to avoid common mistakes. The book shares insider strategies that have already helped many students and grads land great positions. She also offers supplementary coaching and support in order to reach as many young professionals as possible.

“I’ve done a lot of interviewing and hiring over the years,” she said, “and I know what people do right and what people do wrong in an interview. It’s a rough economy, but jobs are out there. And with the right coaching, you can get the position.”
